I totally agree with all points in the main article. I see exactly what you have written about every day. Crosswalks are danger zones in Yellowknife which is the opposite of what they should be. And the Yellowknife Transit bus tht drops off students should be decked out like a school bus as that is what it virtually is. When teh bus stops in front of teh school, ‘not really paying attention’ students walk in front of ‘not really paying attention’ drivers.

Did you see Ecology North’s “Slippery Sidewalk” or “Line-Painting” presentation? There are other like minded people not happy with the situation. We are always looking for caring people to be on our “Transportation Issues Committee”. We try to concentrate on sustainable transportation. We meet the first Tuesday every month at City Hall, during lunch-hour, upper board-room. Great Article! Someone will bring this up at tomorrow’s meeting (2011-05-03).

I held true and didn’t watch one minute of it. I saw the highlights on various newscasts, read one article from 3 different newspaper chains and read a couple of other blogs. I wasn’t going to waste 2 hours listening to what I knew would basically be a mudslinging battle when I could get the crux of what was being said from other sources and highlights.

Great piece dude. Just talking heads reiterating the same things over and over trying to gain those few inches of ground from each other. I think there was five minutes of the two hours that actually delt with something, when Jack mentioned proportional representation and then mentioned northern issues. I should have just listened to you and boycotted.
